⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Megan Prescott’s performance as Molly Thomas made a huge moving impression on me and stayed with me long after her deserved applause. I was left thinking about this show for some days after and how even after the Me-too movement things have not changed that much and men continue to abuse their place not just in entertainment but the wider society too.
From an early age, Molly starts entering dancing competitions and desperate to impress with her glittery swimsuit, encouraged and egged on by her mother who is focused on her physical appearance above everything else.
Behind her we see the countdown gets her big break in “Meat” where she becomes best known for a sex scene with a much older man. This immediately objectifies and pigeon holes her into similar exploitative type roles and her career spirals out control. Molly ends up as a stripper and then is involved in a scandal at the strip club that results in her vilification by the media and even other women.
This is a raw cutting and “unflinching” portrayal of the entertainment industry which despite the me-too movement and recent scandals I still found shocking.
Despite these numerous abusive and often harrowing situations, its a well written and funny script with plenty of laughs and we are all rooting for her to overcome the misogyny and succeed.
In the end Molly takes full control of the stigmatisation and judgement shown by many to her setting up and running her own website. This mirrors real life in that Megan Prescott used her income from OnlyFans to fund the show’s original run.
The real events that inspire Really Good exposure can be found here:
One of those stories about Noel Clarke inflicted on young women has been in the recent news. The women involved took on Clarke's libel against the Guardian and won. The judge reported in his extensive report that the numerous allegations against Noel Clarke were substantially true and the Guardian was right to print their extensive story.
In this case 26 women came forward as truth witnesses to describe sexual exploitation. This includes being asked by Clarke to “take her clothes off” for an audition, being secretly filmed and then showing it to another producer. This behind-the-scenes podcast is well worth your time.
