A jolly festive cracker where the special guest is you

An interactive cornucopia of yuletide delight!

Big heads, small bodies - the team at The Christmas Thing

The live Christmas TV show (beamed out to absolutely no one) needs everyone to really get into the yuletide spirit, showing off party tricks, playing games and singing along to amusing musical numbers. This will fill up the green box of Christmas spirit and joy and stop Krampus from ruining the whole season.  The night I attended we had people crying like a baby, pronouncing that Welsh village name and even one talented audience member doing the splits!

It's a well written and fun premise that allows the brilliant double act of Tom Clarkson and Owen Visser plenty of scope to show off their numerous talents and have the whole audience whooping with delight.  If you have not seen them before, imagine old school Vic and Bob with computers and plenty of tec! Cutting in brilliantly executed live streaming with film, music, sound effects and other technical and mechanical tricks, we are treated to a fast-paced cornucopia of delight.

This show is bursting with fun ideas as well as a clever narrative that makes it much more than just getting up members of the audience.

There are many laugh out loud moments; the high level of energy is maintained throughout with a high rate of visual, verbal, physical, slapstick, interactive and musical gags (some just lasting a second!) and plenty of surprises and twists throughout. The piano playing a running joke is hilarious as were the “adverts” and N*tflix rip off.

More laughs and silliness come from other members including Steve the Puppet, Student intern and even an enthusiastic member of the audience as helmet mounted “Camera 3” running around and pointing at things throughout the show

If you want to see something different this Christmas then I can't recommend this enough, I know I will be recommending it to all my friends. Turn up early for unlimited mulled wine and mince pies!

Plenty of Ho Ho Ho  - 4.5 stars
